Fostering, Permanent Care & Adoption Australia - Rules of Use
The Message Boards are a public forum and, while we encourage a free flow of information and ideas on the boards, we also ask that you follow a few basic rules. By using or participating on the Message Boards, you agree to the Rules of Use as stated below.
Please be aware that every post on the Message Boards is read by the moderators. We reserve the right to remove or edit any post deemed inappropriate, offensive, illegal (e.g. inciting racial or religious hatred, or being potentially discriminatory), potentially defamatory or irresponsible. Persistent or serious misuse will result in cancellation of your Online Community registration.
If you believe material has been posted on the message boards that refers to you or your family and you have concerns about this, please report it to the moderators.
If any of the rules are broken we will act to address the breach. If you believe any other message board user has broken the rules, please let us know. We want to keep the Message Boards safe, respectful, supportive places and will act upon any improper use.
In these Rules ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ means Fostering, Permanent Care & Adoption Australia Admin Team
The following activities are not advised:
Sharing personal details concerning yourself, your home, private contact details, your family’s identity, etc; instead we would recommend using your username at all times.
Following any medical or legal advice from members without seeking an independent professional medical or legal opinion.
Allowing posts to stray outside the boundaries of taste and decency.
Offending other members by showing disrespect and insensitivity.
The following activities are strictly forbidden and any breach of these conditions could result in deletion of your messages and your Online Community registration being cancelled.
Using language that is obscene, threatening, offensive, defamatory, or invasive of another person's privacy.
Derogatory remarks about any named person, persons or organisation.
Expressions of hatred such as racism, sexism, homophobia or religious and cultural intolerance.
Discussions that encourage, promote or provide information about illegal or criminal activities (including distribution of illegal pornography, weapons, terrorism, illegal narcotics, computer viruses, computer hacking and copyright infringement).
Posting addresses for websites that contain information that is banned from the Message Boards.
Any form of harassment aimed at our users, either via the Message Boards or privately.
Impersonation of any person, regardless of whether they are a member of the Online Community or not.
Hacking, altering board code, exploiting code bugs and using automatic scripts.
Posting material that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right without the express permission of the owner(s) of said copyright, trademark or other proprietary right.
Using the boards for commercial purposes e.g. unauthorised advertising.
Using the boards to appeal for sponsorship or to make media requests without first seeking the permission of the Admin Team. Any posts of this nature which have not been approved will be deleted.
Other forms of spamming the boards such as continually posting the same topic on a particular board or across several different boards.
Any activity that could disrupt the smooth running of the Online Community.
We reserve the right to cancel your registration if you repeatedly break the Rules of Use.
